BOYCOTT OF ISRAEL

We stand in support of the indigenous Palestinian people in Gaza, who are fighting for their survival against one of the most brutal uses of state power in both this century and the last.We condemn Israel's recent on December 2000 and January 2009 breaches of international law in the Gaza Strip, which include the bombing of densely populated neighborhoods, illegal deployment of the chemical white phosphorous, and attacks on schools, ambulances, relief agencies, hospitals, universities, and places of worship. We condemn Israel's restriction of access to media and aid workers.

We reject as false Israel's characterization of its military attacks on Gaza as retaliation. Israel's latest assault on Gaza is part of its longtime racist jurisprudence against its indigenous Palestinian population, during which the Israeli state has systematically dispossessed, starved, tortured, and economically exploited the Palestinian people.

We reject as untrue the Israeli government's claims that the Palestinians use civilians as human shields, and that Hamas is an irredeemable terrorist organization. Without endorsing its platforms or philosophy, we recognize Hamas as a democratically elected ruling party. We do not endorse the regime of any existing Arab state and call for the upholding of internationally mandated human rights and democratic elections in all Arab states.

We call upon our fellow writers and academics in the United States to question discourses that justify and rationalize injustice, and to address Israeli assaults on civilians in Gaza as one of the most important moral issues of our time.We call upon institutions of higher education in the U.S. to cut ties with Israeli academic institutions, dissolve study abroad programs in Israel, and divest institutional funds from Israeli companies, using the 1980s boycott against apartheid South Africa as a model.

We call on all people of conscience to join us in boycotting Israeli products and institutions until a just, democratic state for all residents of Palestin and Israel comes into existence.

My Family Day At Hari Raya

This picture is my family day at third day of Hari Raya. All my relatives gathered at Kluang Beach Resort. This is my big family. All my member of my family gathered from my 'moyang' until a youngest member of my family.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Eid ul-Fitr.

I would like to wish all my friends and my lecturer, miss Syaz Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
My Hari Raya was very eventful.

In Ramadan, I prayed Tarawikh prayer every night. I can pray at my hometown only for one week because that time are my holiday for Hari Raya.
I can never forget about Ramadan night is about playing fire-cracker.The best things that I remembered,I fight with my friends whose the best war of fire-cracker. We play until midnight without any afraid of ghost because during Ramadan, all the Satan and devil were tight.Hahahahah......Even now, all the kids will play the fire cracker or ‘bunga api’ during Ramadan’s night. They dont know the effect by play that a such things.Hermmmmm???????
On the eve of the celebration, family members especially my sister was busy preparing food, cakes and a various delicious to be served on the day of Eid ul-Fitr.My father,my brother and I busy clearing the house compound. At night, I lit up the oil lamp all over the house.
On the early morning of Hari Raya I put my new ‘Baju Melayu’ and go to the mosque for Hari Raya prayer. Before we do the prayer, all the Muslims recited ‘takbir’. Once the prayer is done, it is also common for Muslims in Malaysia to visit the grave of their loved one. I used to visit my mother grave during this time with family.Huhuhuhuhu....I am very sad to celebrate Hari Raya without my mother and my sister also. She was study at oversea. She go to UK two week before Hari Raya.Huhuhuhuhuhuhu.......
The rest of the day is spent visiting relatives or serving visitor who come to my house. All my siblings gathered at our hometown. That is the most meaningful time where we will seek forgiveness among ourselves.
For me,Hari Raya is one of the most meaningful events for Muslims.
